Greene County Bike Trails

All Greene County trails are open.  The Parks Department has done an outstanding job in removing all of the downed trees.  There is still some debris on the trails.

Backroads detour for LMST

There are a couple of choices for getting around the Trail closure between Hedges and Richland.  One is US 42: take Hedges or Richland east to US 42.  The other uses back roads.  See this link: http://www.bikemap.net/route/82590 for this route.  Either way there’s some winding roads and some steep grades.

In either case, when on the roads obey traffic laws!

LMST Secton closed

The Little Miami Scenic Trail is closed just South of Hedges Road (Southern border of Greene County) to Richland Road (about 2 miles). You can get on the trail at Roxanna-New Burlington Road or at Corwin South of the area. There is some issue with a bridge in that area. I will send information to you when the trail is open again. Quoted in its entirety is the Press Release from ODNR (below). I will be adding this announcement to my September newsletter.
