Tree trimming toward Yellow Springs
A tree trimming crew was out today on the last section of trail before you get to Yellow Springs, coming from Xenia Station. (This section is in between the “Carrigan/Pedalopolis” signs, up from Clifton Rd.)
They had the entire trail blocked, but were watching out for cyclists and would wave you through, but you will probably need to pass on the grass.
Creekside trail
Rode Creekside from Montg/Greene County line to Xenia. When you cross the bridge, which I belive is the Little Miami, going East, there is a sink hole starting to open at the side of the path. It has a stick with a orange flyer, attached to the top. The rest of the path is clean as of 3:00 pm.
There were lots of people at Xenia Station, today, looks like bike season is in full bloom.
Xenia to Warren County line
The trail shoulder was mowed, a welcomed sight. One crew member was doing some finishing touches by whacking the weeds. All looks great!
Xenia south to Corwin
Trail condition: No major debris. Bridges in bad shape.
Problems: Cleared broken bottle off trail at trailer park in Spring Valley. Greene County - Grass/weeds very overgrown; often hanging over trail.
Warren County - Some areas have been mowed.
Comments: The long stretches in between road crossings is a nice advantage of this section of trail.
