The fixed gear ride today was nice or I should say different. The ride experience is okay. I am sure I’m not the one to be able to do stunts on the thing. I did put the static cog on the chain and it was okay. I even took off the brake for it was easy with only two bolts to undo. I road the neighborhood making sure I experienced some hill work and busy intersections. I was able to negotiate but not for any unexpected situations. That is just me and I am not speaking for someone with a lot more experience than me.
So back the brakes and coaster cog. It’s great for my dry weather commuter.
I got to get some night rides with this bike.  LOL

Ohio Laws: ยง 4511.56. Bicycle signal devices. (D) Every bicycle shall be equipped with an adequate brake when used on a street or highway.
Other states have similar laws and since the access to the web is common, you can read about cyclist being cited for various brake infractions.
Philadelphia Daily News: SO LAST WEEK came word that City Councilman Jim Kenney’s proposed bicycle-crackdown laws include a $1,000 fine on anyone riding a brakeless bicycle on our public streets.
