Hey,

I just wanted to let everyone know that it is getting to that time of the year were my favorite event is…The adventure summit.  The Adventure summit will again be free event hosted at Wright State Student Union on March 5th and 6th.  More information can be found on their Metropark website, at http://www.theadventuresummit.com

This year not only are they having the indoor triathlon they are also have classes that talk about biking the blue ridge parkway and a class on Everything You Always Wanted to Know about the Bike Trails in the Miami Valley Biking.  The are also have a class about riding on busy roads and being safe while doing it.

I also hear there was an also a presenter that try to ride all 48 states in 48 days, who was from Troy, Ohio.  I was told he did in 53 days!  Does anyone know more about this?

I encourage everyone to at least check it out, it is by far the best outdoor event in the Midwest.  This event is full of vendors offering great deals on gear, competitions and classes, and the best part lots of people and clubs that are focused on being active outdoors.

Was looking at the summit’s website again this morning—looks like a nice event—great excuse for getting out of the house and avoiding Saturday chores. smile

Hey Cathy,

I think you’ll like this event.  Its a lot of fun and there is so much going on.  if you feel like saying Hi, I might be working the Dayton Active Booth at the fair.

Everyone else,

just a reminder that this Friday and Saturday is the 2010 Adventure Summit! Go to the website for more information and to plan what speaker or presentation you might want to see.  http://www.theadventuresummit.com

Here’s a link to part of his story.  He had a website but I can’t find it at the moment.  I followed him on Facebook and his website.
