3rd stage
The 37-year old is making his way back to the front of the pack. He was in 10th and now in 3rd.
Out of all the bike races out there, I always like the Tour de France.
I don’t race nor ride fast anymore but when the race is on I am glued to the TV.  It might be the coverage by Phil Liggett, Bob Roll, and Paul Sherwen.

I agree!  When Discovery Channel dropped their sponsorship and Lance retired I lost a bit of interest.  But I love Garmin, Columbia and Astana and I too am glued to the TV for the duration.

This year’s race,  I wonder if we’ll ever find out what Lance is saying after each race to the team. Or do we have to wait for a book. I hear a lot of “no comments” this year.

I’m watching the tour more than ever this year.  Not sure if it’s non-stop coverage/replay by Versus or my interest and amusement in the commentary by Liggett, Roll, Sherwen.  Haven’t missed a stage yet!

Seriously bummed that Levi is out.  He was looking really, really good so far.

Me too.  Too bad since it dims Armstrong’s hopes some.

Leipheimer fell off his bike about 1.86 miles from the finish line Thursday in a crash involving two-time Tour runner-up Cadel Evans.

Lance sure could use his help. But, that is what this Tour is all about is it not? Lance is doing it for free wink
I am starting to like Alberto Contador each day.
Team Astana looks like it is the team this year.

Lance!

Whatta great performer and team player!  The way he pulled away on that last climb, he could easily have been up with the leaders if he had gone earlier.  But he held off to protect his teammates.

No Doubt!  He could have bridged earlier… and started to, but Wiggins was on his wheel, so he waited… dropped him like a rock later though and still almost caught the break away…

The big surprise was Contador inadvertently dropping Kloden… what did he have to gain by that acceleration??... Contador doesn’t have the mental strategy to play the team game yet, especially if his physical skills start to wane…

Experience should help Contador.  I could tell he really wished he had not done it… kept looking back, hoping for his teammate to reattach…  I bet he’s really bummed about that now!
