This might be a little out of the way for you indy riders but thought you still might be interested.

just want to pass the word about some bike to work events that I have heard about.  Now that the weather is getting nice, a lot of clubs/orgs are hosting bike to work days.  If you can bike to work on this
May   15   Metroparks bike to work day
May   29   City of Beavercreek Bike to Work Day
June   12   Bike to work day for WPAFB
     

On May 15th the bike to work includes a FREE!!!! Pancake Breakfast, at 2nd Street Market 600 East Second Street, Dayton, OH.  You can find out more at metropark Website:  http://www.metroparks.org/biketowork .

I did this bike trip to 2nd street market last year and it was a lot fun free food, and live music.

I don’t have a lot of information on the other bike to work days, maybe someone else can help tell us about this items.  I found them on the Beavercreek city website.

I just encourage everyone to get out on the road, and enjoy the sunny days.

Is Xenia doing bike to work again like last year?

A few of Reynolds commuters are going to head down for the eats

I went last year and had 3 of the biggest pancakes I have ever seen.  Good food, fellowship and exercise!  Saw Bikehead, Oldshacker and several others that morning, and then Bikehead and I rode to Xenia for their bike to work lunch!  Free pancake breakfast and free subs for lunch.  To quote an old TV commercial:  “Boys, it don’t get no better’n this!“

Although I am supposed to depart for Boundary Waters in MN before noon that day, I am considering having everything packed the night before, and rolling downtown for the eats.

Thanks for the extra information.  I might have to try the xenia one too, great Idea awanabug!  However, I am not sure if I can take that much time off work to ride around getting free food, but I think I’ll try.  Anyone know what time of free food Xenia serving up?

Dayton Rider

Probably at the times stated on the greene county website posted above by rtool.  Last year, Bikehead & I left Dayton’s event as it closed down, and eased over to Xenia and helped set it up and stayed around till it was over.  Easy for us retirees to do things like that.
