20% recumbents?

On my two rides over the weekend, I noticed a larger number of recumbents than I had seen in awhile.  Several Tour Easys, a couple trikes, EZ’s and some SWB models, too.

I imagine the percentage of recumbents to upright models was perhaps 20% recumbents.

As more of us “boomers” turn to cycling for recreation and health reasons, and more young folks preferring XBox’s tongue wink , it wouldn’t surprise me to see the number of recumbents increase.

Just got back from a Xenia Station to Yellow Springs Station loop.  I agree, there were a lot of recumbents out.

I see only the same two on my way home about once a week but my timing is late around 6 and 7 PM.  Recumbents are a good thing are they not?

Recumbents are sprouting all over my neighborhood.  Eight weeks ago there was only one in the neighborhood.  Now there are seven.  One Sun EZ1, five Sun Sports, and one Cycle Genius Falcon.
