We’ve got it on the calendar and are looking to come up for this one.

Any guess which route they are planning?

I would imagine we will ride to Cedarville and back.  It is a nice trail and has few crossroads.

Outstanding, great bike and it is nice to have a recumbent with us.

Another great night ride we had last night. A good turn out for the end of season Fall brisk ride.
We had all kinds of Bicycle types; recumbents, tricycle, uprights and a tandem on this one.
The weather was outstanding for the last ride of the season.  Some of us think that we saw only few snow flakes about the end of the ride.
One major issue I do have with this night ride thing is that I think I have developed an addictions to the end of ride cookies.  tongue rolleye

I added another another 10 watts to my lighting system and calculated the battery drain for my 12 volt battery to be about an hour and a half. Sure enough it was but, the ride was a tad longer so I had to depend on my led lights and fellow cyclists to light the way back. Most of my rides on the tandem are about an hour so it’s not bad for a home made setup costing me only $20.00 and I can see both sides of the path.

Thanks for the post!  I was wondering how it went.  Sorry I missed.  Sounds like a good one.  Maybe about March or April they will start up again.  I guess not much moonlight last night though…

So it wasn’t just me…..those were snowflakes.  I’m just glad we didn’t see too many of them grin

I agree the cookies can be addictive!

Glad everyone had a good time.  Yes, I saw snowflakes also, happy there were only a few.  The Trail Sentinels will have a few monthly meetings between now and April.  We are hoping to start up the Night Rides again in April.  Just not sure how many we want to try and run each month.  I guess it will depend on how many people show up for the first couple of rides.  We are also thinking about a Family Sunday afternoon ride, say starting around 2:00 or 3:00 p.m.  If any of you have any suggestions please let me know.  Thanks again for riding last night and glad you liked Cindy’s cookies.  I liked the mystery ingredient cookies, but my favorite is the oatmeal raisin.  Hope to see you all on the trails this fall and winter and at the Night Rides when we start next April.

I was bummed that I didn’t get to come. But I still hadn’t bought any shoes covers. :( I just knew that my feet would not tolerate it!
Good news though, bought some. Road them today 41 degrees for about 18miles. My toes were pretty happy and warm. :D

I’ll be ready for April!

Sorry you didn’t make it but I’m sure there will be some in the spring.

Have you tried the toe warmers?  I always use them in colder weather and love them.  They also make hand warmers grin

No! I hadn’t seen those. Those look really nice and useful!!!

I’ve used hand ones for quite some time. I was looking at using some wind blocking gloves with some thin polypro gloves and a handwarming pack on the back of my hand between the two layers. The toe warmers would be icing on the cake.

I just ordered a winter weight cycling jacket (so it says!!) from nashbar. I’m hoping it works well since I haven’t managed to find a single jacket in the bike shops that would be warm enough for winter. Seems like I find more for men…...and don’t even get me started on the lack of warm windblocking tights for women!!!!

I have a pair of Pearl Izumi AMFIB winter tights and I love them.  They do a good job of blocking the wind.  I wear mine over my biking shorts or knickers (they help keep the knees warm).
