Yes! I always, lock my bike. At Xenia Station, there seems to be a lot of young
kids around. most of the time this summer, and don’t know, if they would take
my bike or not, but don’t want to chance it. The other palces you had in your
post, my bike get locked there also.
When I ride my road bike, I take the small seat pack, off, and carry it inside.
When I ride the communter, with a trunk bag, on the rear rack, I take it off
along with any lights, blinkies, pump, and water bottle, and carry it. Some stores
will let you carry it around inside, some won’t. If they won’t I usally try and check
or ask at the service desk, to see if I can leave it there, while I shop.
When I go to Mijiers, I ride my winter MTB bike, with a milk cart, bungeed to the rack,
and, and wear shorts, with lots of pocket to put, all my spare tire small pump and tools
in the pockets. I have came out a few times, and found people, looking at the bike, or the
lock. Don’t know what they were doing, but they walk away, when I walk up.
I carry a old chain lock with a combination lock, and a “U” lock, which I use for the front
wheel, and the combination lock, thur the frame and the bicycle rack.
With the way, people are hurting for money, these day, a unlocked bike, is too much a
easy way to free money.
Well that’s my 10 cents worth, it a nice day, so get out there and ride.
